Vision:

"Spring Clean 2008," is intended to promote and enhance our local quality of life. Spring Clean 2008, is a one-day educational event on Earth Day, Saturday April 19, 2008, which encourages community members to participate in the collection of trash and recyclables in Napa neighborhoods.

Where:

We have one central distribution / collection task center in the parking lot behind Pearl and Main. Most activity will occur in the neighborhood in proximity to the collection center. However, those who can not make it to the area are encouraged to work in their own neighborhoods.

When:

The Spring Clean 2008 event will last from 9 am to 11am, Saturday April 19, 2008.

Logistics:

We will distribute gloves, plastic bags, and educational materials at the center to volunteers, who will collect trash and recyclables. The volunteers will return their full bags to the collection center. Napa Recycling & Waste Services has agreed to pick up the trash and recyclables in the afternoon of Earth Day.

Earth Day Connection:

After the morning Spring Clean, volunteers will be directed to the scheduled Earth Day event at Napa Valley Community College, where they can enjoy additional activities. Earth Day Napa
